In early June of 2015, I was connected to Usher's (the singer and performer) non-profit mentoring organization based in Atlanta, called Usher's New Look. Usher's New Look conducted a three-day training series at four Washington, DC public high schools as an introduction of the program to the city. I created this press release and obtained a write up in The Washington Post and The Washington Informer for the organization.
As a 2014 summer account management intern at Ogilvy & Mather's New York office, I was assigned to an intern group. We were given a brief from a Coca-Cola client and given 5 weeks to come up with a campaign to help Coca-Cola refurbish it's image, encourage teens to be physically active and rebuild places of play in low-income, urban areas. My team won first place out of six intern teams. The deck above demonstrates all of the hard work, research, strategic thinking and creative that went into our campaign!
As a 2014 summer MAIP (Multicultural Internship Advertising Program) intern at the American Association of  Advertising Agencies, we were given a non-profit client called Live Out Loud--a New York based non-profit dedicated to mentoring LGBTQ youth. We were briefed and given the task of creating a campaign to both raise awareness of the program and increase donations. In this project, I conducted interviews with both LGBTQ youth and professionals and used them in our primary research to help us come up with our key insights. I also hosted/recorded a pilot webinar as a sample to show our clients.
As a 2014 summer intern at Ogilvy & Mather's New York office, I got involved with the Black Diaspora group at the agency. I have a both deep love for writing and talent of story telling, so when I heard that the Black Diaspora wanted help with producing their summer newsletter edition, me and my co-worker Wallace jumped on it! I wrote several stories, compiled the intern profiles and wrote the Black History segments ( on our recent fallen giants--Mia Angelou and Ruby Dee.

As a 2014 summer account managment intern at Ogilvy & Mather's New York office, I was asked by my DuPont team to identify consumer trends in BRIC and emerging markets. I gathered my findings and inserted them in a PowerPoint (deck) to present to my team. They will consider these findings when targeting their international consumers.
